The court system is something that every citizen needs to know more about, but unfortunately, a lot of the information needed to understand it isn’t easily accessible to the average person. As a law student, I’ve read law journals and in-depth case studies, and I’ve learned to understand and interpret the “legalese” that lawyers and officers of the court need to know to do their jobs. All of that information is valuable, but it can be tough to absorb. I want to make legal information available in laymen’s terms. Do you know what to say and do to avoid damaging a potential personal injury case, or how to negotiate with an insurance company after an accident? When do you need a lawyer, and when can you go it alone? Those are the types of questions that I hope to help you answer with this blog.
